Mike Tyson was born on June 30, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York City. He was raised in a neighborhood that was famous for high crime levels. At the age of 19, Mike Tyson had to move with his mother to Brownsville neighborhood as they were going through financial problems. At this age, Tyson was already in the bad company, joining street gangs in committing small crimes and theft.
Due to been in bad company, Tyson by the age of 13 had been already arrested around 38 times and was sent to the juvenile home called Tryson school for boys. Tyson had been having talents since childhood and that first who had got an eye on his talents was center counselor Bobby Stewart. He helped Mike Tyson and gave him training for a few months and after seeing his amazing and great potential. He was introduced to seasoned trainer Cus D’Amato.

Mike Tyson first step towards success was winning Junior Olympic Games in 1981 and 1982, and when he was 18 years old he turned professional in 1985. When Tyson started fighting, among 28 fights, he was able to win 26 of them by knockout or TKO. Such potential and winning turned his life to immense success with the center of media attention for his high intensity punches by which opponents were knocked out in the first few rounds.
Mike Tyson’s first televised fight was with the Jesse Ferguson and Tyson knocked out him in the 6th round. After that, he got a chance to fight for the WBC Heavyweight Title against Trevor Brebick. In this fight, he beat down the opponent in a 2nd round TKO (Technical Knockout) and created the history, and became the youngest Heavyweight Champion in history at the age of 20 years.

Mike Tyson won the WBA (World Boxing Association) title by beating James Smith by a unanimous decision in March 1987. After that, he did beat down Tony Tucker with a knockout in the 6th round and got the next title IBF (International Boxing Federation). Mike Tyson had become the first heavyweight boxer to hold all the three major titles: WBA, WBA, and IBF. His record stood at 31 wins and no losses. And such immense success made him a legend and soon became recognized globally. Tyson beat Micheal Spinks by knockout in 91 seconds itself becoming the lineal champion.
Mike Tyson’s was first defeated in 1990 against Buster Douglas by knockout in the 10th round. But Mike tried hard and bounced back after this defeat to set up a fight with Evander Holyfield in 1991. But Tyson was sent to jail for 3 years and came back to boxing at the end of 1995.
After 3 years in prison, in 1996 his first fight was with Peter McNeeley. He went on to win the bout by knockout in just 89 seconds. The total revenue for this fight was $63 million. And later, in March 1996 he went on to win the WBC title from Frank Bruno.
In November 1996 he lost to Holyfield by TKO in the 11th round. Later there was a rematch in June 1197 which Tyson’s lost a result of disqualification.
